Leiden English Choir is made up of 40 enthusiastic amateur singers who bring to life choral music from all over the world and from many different time periods. The choir started in 1973 in the English faculty at Leiden University (hence the name Leiden English Choir), and is conducted by Hebe de Champeaux. Our accompanist is Oskar Bles.
The choir gives 2 concerts per year. The spring concert is either a major choral work or a collection of pieces on a specific theme. The Christmas concert is a more traditional Christmas carol concert.
Leiden English Choir regularly has places for new members, and welcomes members from abroad, i.e. international students and faculty members. For more information, contact the choir secretary Gert Brussen, email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
